Cities/Towns/lakes for travel fantasy football draft

Looking for next August. 25th year of the league.
So far we've done:
Vegas
Lake Austin
Chicago
Lake Michigan
Kentucky/bourbon trail several times
NOLA
Nashville
Bloomington, IN
Lake Cumberland, KY
Need suggestions on something new. We like big cities, but also cabins on lakes. Best options are something on a lake, within driving distance to a cool city to go out in for a night or two. One rule is we have to go to a fancy steak dinner one night of the trip. Most members are dispersed throughout the country, with several in the SE, West coast, and Indiana areas. I know this is vague, but I'm just looking for some new ideas.

Sounds awesome. Need a new person to join the league?
Maybe someplace outside of Salt Lake City?

Finger Lakes
you said Lake Michigan but didn't say where so I'll say an inland lake in Michigan near Traverse City. Platte Lake, Crystal Lake, Torch Lake, etc.
Don't know the cabin scene, but Portland, Maine seems like it might fit your vibe.

Ya its pretty great, it definitely improved once we all got settled into our careers. Also doesn't hurt that one of the members hit it very big and usually contributes a little more for it to be a first class trip.

The Keys
Lake Tahoe
The Catskills
No lake, but Palm Springs (it was good enough for Sinatra)
Saw a few dude trips down in 30A the last time I went
Whatever lake Saban has his cabin on
St. Simons/Jekyll Island
Madison or Boise wouldn't be bad either

Madison, WI fits all of this. Relatively large city that has B1G university and multiple company HQs (i.e. Epic, AmFam, Exact Sciences) with young professionals gives you plenty of nightlife. Madison is situated on an isthmus between two lakes, Mendota and Monona. Tornado Steak House and Johnny Delmonico's are very good steak spots with an excellent setting around Capitol Square. Plus, Wisconsin plays Miami (OH) at home on Saturday, August 30 next year. Plan your draft/trip around that. Weekend before classes start, so the city will be pretty damn lively.

Lake Tahoe, Crater Lake, Table Rock Lake, Ritz Carlton Lake Oconee, Lake Powell, Lake Travis are all solid options.

Are you still interested in joining a fantasy league that has traveling drafts?

So, all facts, no fluff.
I run a keeper league comprised of friends spread out all over the country. We have a rotating draft every year where it's in a different place. We want to add 2 members next year and I'm trying to find people who live in places I've never been to potentially add some fun to those trips. Never been to any New England state, so the Boston handle on your account was an immediate draw for me.

How cool. I would second these. Just up there this Summer.
Are you guys OT Big Ballers? Look into the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island!
PS: OP, can you expand the league? Need some more?

Burlington, Vt.....could probably find something outside of town on lake Champlain. Burlington is a great little town with good food (Honey Road) and breweries (Foam Brewing). Not sure about steak places but they probably have some good ones.

I might still play fantasy football if my league did this
