Gotta give to the Greenies, take a look at what our neighbors to the South food concession offerings!

Tulane football concessions get more NOLA restaurants for 2024.

Tulane University football fans have had more to cheer lately as the Green Wave has been on the rise. As a new season begins this week, things are looking up for food at Tulane’s Yulman Stadium, too.

The key ingredient has been making more New Orleans restaurants and local brands part of the game day experience. It’s been growing progressively, raising the quality of the food in the stadium and giving the concession stands a more pronounced sense of New Orleans place.

One major addition for the 2024 season underscores this change with seafood platters that arrive in football-shaped bowls, from a family known as ambassadors for New Orleans flavor.

Why, Why, Why not us!

And Lagniappe: They even have a Market Place

I think two things can be true at the same time:

1. You can’t really compare the difficulty of operating concessions in 102k seat Tiger Stadium to 30k seat Yulman Stadium.

2. Aramark still sucks.

I don't understand people who can't go 3.5 hours without food so will spend 15 minutes in line missing the game they paid to see in order to buy processed overpriced food.

Just take a $0.75 marijuana gummy (saving you $40 on mediocre beer) and eat after the game. I literally spend $0 inside stadiums unless it's something like "I want to say I tried a Dodger Dog".

This. I've never bought any stadium food other than basic beer or sodas or occasionally a brat at Wrigley or a footlong at Truist. I can't imagine waiting in line and paying a premium for chicken fingers or this other crap they're shilling.

A good hack I've found is that in many premium seating areas you can get sauerkraut and jalapeños for free from the self service condiments section.

Keto, healthy, and free. My future kids will hate me

Mmmmmmmm. Free sauerkraut that's been sitting in the open wind, absorbing all of the sights and smells Baton Rouge has to offer. Can't wait to pile that on my dog.

You are correct sir. I work for Tulane and we switched from Sodexo to Aramark in July. I was very confused when I opened this thread

i think our deal with them expires after this season. Signing Aramark was one of the last things Alleva did.
