LSU hiring anybody from Southern/SWAC is scraping the bottom of the barrel, but this hire pretty much falls in line with what Woke ULSU has become.

This is such an asinine statement. Why is hiring an assistant anything from Southern/Swac scraping the bottom of barrel. Most people in coaching and staff positions get there starts in smaller schools and conferences and then work there way up to P5 positions. It’s not like we tapped Southern for an Athletic director. He is an assistant for christs sake.
And I am about as conservative and “anti-woke” as can be but just because LSU hires a black guy does not mean it’s a “woke” hire. Do some black people get jobs strictly because it’s a DEI hire. Sure. But it is ignorant to say anytime a black man gets a position it’s DEI. You do know that there are very intelligent, capable, black men out there right. I’m not saying this guy is one.
I don’t know anything about him. But to just categorically characterize him as DEI hire lends credibility to the other side always calling us racist when in fact the majority of us aren’t. Just you apparently.

This is why DEI must be abolished.
It is horrible for minorities.
If DEI did not exist the natural assumption would be that a person was hired because they were qualified.
