Mondo’s PR was in Lafayette his senior year of high school at the parish track meet. He never participated in the 100 before and asked his coach to enter him. He won the race and was .02 second from breaking the all time meet record.
He also won the long jump that day. Pretty impressive.
Of course, he won the pole vault, too.

I think Warholm is a few tenths off his prime. It could be very close.

Not gonna lie. 10.57 for a high school kid whom sprinting was probably never his main sport and likely never seriously trained for, that's still pretty doggone impressive.

Don't sleep on Mondo. He carries more speed down that runway than any vaulter in history, which is why he is so dominant. Don't know if he can win, but it will be closer than people think.
