I know I am about 25 years late on this, but almost done watching this series. It is excellent, one of the best things I have ever watched.

I watch it annually around Memorial Weekend. It's amazing.
I got to watch it with my son for the first time this year and now he is obsessed with WWII and can't wait to watch it with me again next year!

It is probably my favorite series ever. I've watched it about 5 times. Hard to believe its 23 years old.

Just started it last night. Hooked already.

I re watch it once or twice a year.
It’s my favorite show/movie of all time and I think it’s easily the greatest tv mini series ever produced.

My college age son watched it recently (before I ever did) and kept telling me I should watch it.
Finally did (Netflix). Bought the Blu-ray halfway through. It is phenomenal.

Band of Brothers is simply the 'greatest of all time'. I am usually not a fan of world war 2 Pacific Theater movies, series, etc. However, I admit the Pacific is powerful and almost as good as Band of Brothers. It is amazing the hellish conditions which the greatest generation were forced to overcome.

Wish I could watch it for the first time again

I liked The Pacfic better obviously but both are excellent

BoB is my #2 series of all time. It's just excellent, top-tier television.
Just curious, why obviously? The Pacific was nowhere near BoB for me.

Sad to really think about. We lost the last member of Easy Company just more than 2 years ago. Greatest Generation to ever live!

Retired Marine and it's about the two most legendary real life Marines there ever was.

Fair enough.

Chesty Puller
There were some Chesty Puller moments but not full episodes. I thought the actor playing him was outstanding. The scene with him marching at the head of the decimated 7th Regiment coming down from the Umurbrogol was grim.
Sledge? Leckie?
I liked The Pacific as much as BoB too. Not as cohesive maybe because it came from two or three separate books compared to one.

Listen to the official podcast. Came out a few years ago and has cast interviews. It’s good.
The show is incredible. Makes me tear up a little at the end and when that intro music hits. Truly our greatest generation.

I had never seen the series but have always heard how great it was. I am not a history guy so I never took the time to watch it.
This past Mardi Gras my family and I went to France, and spent a day in Normandy doing a D-Day tour. After hitting the beaches and gun bunkers, we visited several small towns that we liberated in the days following D-Day. We went to the exact site of the battle shown in Episode 2 where Winters takes command and eliminates the German guns firing down onto the routes away from the beaches. We visited the cemetery and several memorials including the Dick Winters statue.
After we returned home my wife and I watched the series and were blown away. It is so good, and walking in their footsteps in France made their story even more amazing.

It is as well done as any mini-series, ever. Its only real competition for #1 is HBO stablemate, Chernobyl.

Just the mere fact That Puller was in it for a few episodes was more than enough for me.

All the scenes he was in were good ones.
