So USA not winning the Gold Medal count at Olympics came down to a dumb Gump’s decision

Did the New Zealand guy want to stop and share? It was up to both of them. I like it. Go win it. That mindset is why he’s in the Olympics and we’re posting about it.

By that logic, discount all the gold won by Chinese Americans

this is dumb. Why go there to play for a tie? If you think you can win, go for it. Sadly he came up short in the jump off but I had no problem with him going for it.

You go there to win a gold medal
A gold is a gold is a gold. Dumb decision. Take the damn gold medal

Not even close to the same. If you can find even one example of a person who lived their entire lives in China and then decided to just compete for the US I will concede and you win, but that has and never will happen.

This isn't against Mondo, he can do what he wants, I just find it a bit silly for someone who has never lived in Sweden to suddenly compete for them. But by all accounts, they were willing to pay him more money to win them a gold. It is unfortunate that countries resort to doing this instead of just going with their actual citizens.

USA is clearly first, China is firmly in second, and France is third. I never understood why they haven't adopted point standings, 3 for gold, two for silver, one for bronze. The "standings" act as though there's only one medal... and if that's the case, stop giving out three medals. And while we're on scoring, each starter should get their medal counted. Basketball should be five medals, relays should count as four. If it takes a team, you score the team.

I think he should have to live on Swedish food for a while as punishment.

What about Joel Embid? I mean you don’t know the whole situation with each person. If it’s legal play for whoever you want. It’s called FREE AGENCY & TRANSFER PORTAL by the way. I thought it was a good and entertaining 2 weeks. #teamusa

I agree that you take a gold medal anytime they offer you one.
The Kiwi high jumper wanted to share gold, so it was all up to the Bama kid. He chose poorly.

Not accepting the gold is like winning the lottery and going to a casino and throwing all that money on a spin of the roulette wheel.
He lost a lot of money in endorsements because of that decision.

What about Shacari ? World #1 sprinter, favored to win the 100M and she laid an egg to get upset. If you want to win the Gold medal count, USA has to perform better in swimming, diving, and T&F. You can’t blame 1 decision or event, it was a consensus TEAM effort.

Swedes have longed consumed crawfish as a delicacy. Boudin, not so much.
