Defensively, it seems our boys can keep us in ballgames til the 4th Qtr…. til maybe they tire-out.

Offensively, offensive line is a sieve with a very average QB (Carr) under center; this definitely has the makings of a disaster !!

Games will be low scoring (for the modern NFL) with a couple of outliers, but you have to put up points, plain and simple. When you are in those marginal games where the difference is usually a mistake, my money would be on Dennis Allen's team to make those mistakes (if not the man himself).

Lower your expectations and it won't be as bad.

I'm hoping for two wins, vs you know who. Blow up everything, start over, give us hope again.

Love how our fans can tell how good or bad we will be after first PRESEASON game.

I wouldn’t jump off a ledge after 3 series in the first preseason game. The Saints are going to use a lot of misdirection and play action that they really didn’t show last night. No, the OL isn’t great. But it’s kind of ridiculous to completely give up on the season after literally one quarter of a glorified practice

4 wins is the expectation. This team appears to absolutely suck especially the QB and offense.

Remember the other day when someone said Carr and Goff were comparable?

I still think of that when I need a laugh.

Carr sucks and after the Saints start 3-8 or so, I’ll be back to say I told you so.

Just like I did last year…ask Proximo.

This year will be worse. Prepare your anus.

I see a lot of people on the message boards talking up our defense since last night, and look I too think they’ll be pretty good around top 12, and certainly hope they can be great and crack top 5, but just keep in mind we played against the Cardinals in first preseason game without Kyler Murray. Desmond Ridder is not a good QB. I have no idea on their o-line on how good they are supposed to be or how many starters played last night.
Just saying preseason games, especially the 1st one, is never as good as it seems or as bad as it seems

7-9 - 9-7. Not good enough to win anything. Not bad enough to get a game changing draft pick

We all kinda assume the same thing since last year. But next week should be a good barometer of worse or better in 2024.

Good or bad, I’m ready for football to be back.

I don’t like the current leadership and direction of this team, but I’m ready to devote 3 hours of my week to the Saints.

Amazing how people still put so much emphasis on a preseason game. My expectations aren’t overly high but it is comical that people truly believe any of this matters or is a reflection of what the reality will be week 1.

Yeah, preseason is meaningless. The best indicator is history. Dennis Allen has a career .343 winning percentage. He has one winning season as a head coach. The record for that winning season was 9-8. I agree it’s comical, but that is reality.

Maybe. But I don’t put any stock in pre season, good or bad.

People put emphasis on blocking, getting open, rushing the QB. All of which we did zero of. It’s still football and an indicator of where we stand

rushing the QB

I thought I saw several pressures, sacks and some forced QB escapes tbh.

And you could tell that by the team that didn’t play with all of its full units? What i saw was good from granderson, young, and breese. LT looked good. Oline looked underwhelming. This is a new Oline group and it takes time for them because they do work as a unit. It’s def an area of concern for me. But watching 1 quarter of football in thr first live action in months as any indicator as what’s to come is dumb. They’re also learning an entirely new offense. Again, i despise Dennis Allen and i think he’s a bad coach but nothing about yesterday made me overly excited or overly concerned. It means nothing

Not really you just have to accept the Saints are poorly coach team and with every loss we are closer to getting rid of Dennis Allen and getting a real coach
