The Cowboys gave up a 4th round pick to get him from the 49ers after Purdy beat him out. For purposes of the question, you can even pretend all their contracts are the same. I think I say no.

This is the logical conclusion. Rattler has upside potential that I think is much higher than a lot of this board admits. I do not see that in Haener. I do see it in Lance though he has some bad habits to correct.

No, Rattler has more future potential as a starter than Lance, check out some of the Cowboys camp info about Lance's performance, he has been bad in camp. Rattler was a 1st rd talent at one point, Lance was a pick thought to developed into a starter and hasn't so far
