How to keep life interesting

I am single and in my 30s, I think the days of having kids have passed. I have a great job and make a decent salary. But life just feels like it has gotten boring. It feels like I just go through the motions and should be happy but I am just not. I can't imagine keeping this routine until 60 and I retire. How do people keep life exciting?

You can always frick a dude in the arse just to see if that’s for you and that’s the reason you’ve been miserable so far.

I know plenty of people who had their first kid in late 30s or 40s. If you want it, you can have them.
Sort of sounds like you are in a rut. What do you want. What would you regrets not doing at this age when you’re about to die? Do you want a family? There is no right answer just the answer that fits you.
Also don’t overlook things like volunteering in something you can about which can help give purpose and open new avenues.

The purpose of life isn't to work a job and make money. You should do that , but it's not enough.

One of life’s gifts is to have children. It changes everything. And you’re not too old. I have a single friend in his 60s. He is retired well and nobody to share it with. He is at a point similar to yours. Just trying to figure out what to do with himself. It’s a lonely life.
