If so, which items have you discovered sell the best?
I'm in Texas, so I guess answers tailored more that direction are preferred, but any advice on Southern fare is also appreciated.

I have for many years. Easily most profitable per foot of garden and sell big volume are cucumbers and tomatoes.

I sell mushrooms in packs of three at an exceptional margin.

Do you ever dabble with fresh eggs?

Here it’s tomatoes, usually #1 and #2 size. Cantaloupes and watermelons around 4th of July. Green beans, purple hull peas, squash and zucchini.

I did in my younger years. Tomatoes are high revenue but high costs and the market gets flooded with them quite often. Try to differentiate yourself with better tasting or unique colored varieties compared to the typical tomatoes most people grow.
Zinnias and okra have very high profit margins with little to no costs except the labor to pick. Gotta pick your okra patch everyday though.

Not really alot of profit in eggs. When you look at the very high feed prices and the time it takes to raise a hen to laying age.

I’ve been to the one near downtown at pepper place. Every Saturday from 8-12. Go early to avoid the crowd

My partner and I sell our homemade hummus at a nearby farmer's market from time to time when the weather is nice.

Nice heirloom tomatoes are like $3 each.
