There wasn't any indication he wasn't coming.
We don't know which side initiated it. But OU is a very logical landing spot. Former McNeese HC Todd Butler is on staff there.

Probably. I feel like every incoming freshman pitcher has the capability of contributing right away. Felt that way about Victorian too. It's not normal to have a class like that.

Didn’t realize this could happen at this point. Did LSU have to agree to let him out? Forgive my lack of understanding here. Just curious.

I am fairly certain that baseball rosters are fairly fluid at this point considering teams don't know how the draft will treat them. We ended up with 43 players post draft so we had to get rid of 3 players anyway.
