I like Jacks Stack BBQ . There are around 5 of them around the KC area.

We were passing though with not enough time to risk a line at Joe’s, so we hit Q39 and really enjoyed it. A local later told me that is his favorite BBQ place.

We actually were there about a month ago.

Highly recommend Q39 and Grünauer.

Q39, I know it’s just a side, but I love their apple slaw.

I live here…
Q39, Slaps, Jack Stack (sides are good), LCs (in the hood but good for sandwiches), original Joes, Meat Mitch, Buck Tui, Char Bar. The best in town is Harp BBQ but he is in process of moving locations so not sure if still open in Independence area.

If you want something beside bbq let me know

I like Arthur Bryant’s , I mail order the original sauce. Beef and pork combo, fries and an ice cold bud. Hard to finish buts it’s great!

Original joes. This was about 10 years ago so I don’t know if they still do it but we skipped the line by just calling in an order. Picked it up in like 10 minutes and ate in the car. Best brisket I have ever had

We liked this place. Also, beers at the Boulevard brewery.

Joe’s at the gas station. Burnt ends are really good.
