This is him, the only person in Kamala's entire family tree who supposedly gives her any black cred whatsoever. Kamala basically is the new Rachel Dolen-whatever. It's beyond bizarre and the backlash will come at some point.

Can't believe that this is the best the Democrats could come up with.

"Painganadu Venkataraman Gopalan (1911 – February 1998)[1] was an Indian career civil servant[2] who served with Government of Zambia and the Government of India.

While as Director of Relief Measures and Refugees in Zambia, he oversaw the exodus of refugees from Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) during the Zimbabwean War of Independence.[3][4] He later served as Advisor to 1st President of Zambia Kenneth Kaunda[5] and also as Joint Secretary to the Government of India in 1960s.

Gopalan was a member of the Imperial Secretariat Service and later a Central Secretariat Service officer.[6][7][8] He is the maternal grandfather of 49th Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris.[1][9]"

If you're Jamaican then you are black. That's silly to claim otherwise. What's happening here is a woman who historically claimed to be Indian is now pandering to the black communities by ditching that and pretending to be and always have been black. It's about the grift.

I figured that Grandma was Indian too, but apparently I was wrong. I stand corrected

It’s the hill your party dies on every single day. Your voting logic: “What are their ideas?! No, how could I have been so shortsighted! What is their ethnicity and gender”?

I mean, she did go to a HBCU. She probably claims both when it is convenient, because that is what politicians do.

This ole boy didn't have any ties to Jamaica.

Her FATHER did. I don't know or really care how much "black' Jamaican he was, but seems clear he was some.

I guess maybe the whole purpose of this silliness is to illustrate the ridiculousness of it all. I'm quite bored with it.

He’s the black ancestry. At least half of him is.

The OP has the wrong grandfather. Or maybe her paternal grandmother was black Jamaican? Can someone clarify.

Upon further review, I'm thinking that her paternal grandfather was a full Indian who just liked hanging out with black people in black countries. That where he met this lady in Jamaica (Kamala's parternal grandmother.

Family trees and connecting branches have always made me easily confused. It's as if I have a blind spot in my brain lol.

Kamala's father specifically says he is NOT black. He is actually Irish upper class ancestry descended from large slave owners. His family just had a particular taste for the chocolate ladies, so they are darker skinned now.

He came our and said he identifies as CAUCASIAN. so Kamala is specifically NOT black in the least bit.
