I didn’t look at any other pages? This is a summer Olympics story.

Utterly disgusting. I just do not understand how this can be allowed to happen. As a father of a little girl, no way in hell would I allow her to go into a boxing right with a man. Just disgusting. BTW, there is nothing questionable there, that is a biological male. If he wants to be called she and dress up however she wants in regular life, find, I do not care. But for the Olympics to sanction this is just disgusting.

Well, it’s not that simple.
This isn’t a woman who transitioned later in life. She was born with both male and female parts. Parents make the decision at that point of how they want to raise their child (male or female). There’s sometimes medication involved to manage the hormones or surgery to remove parts.
Now I agree that you can argue that the higher levels of testosterone should have eliminated her from competition. Women who have the Y chromosome presentation to that degree typically take estrogen in order to reduce the testosterone.
But the XY gender test alone shouldn’t be disqualifying.

Impossible. There are only 2 genders.

Its the same situation as Caster Semenya. And T&F adjusted their rules and now Caster is essentially banned.
It seem obvious that boxing should be even more concerned with this, considering the violent nature of the sport.
Its a pretty big failure of the IOC to not adjust their rules with every other governing body.
It is interesting that they both competed in Tokyo without much controversy. All of the controversy in Tokyo was around the NZ power lifter.

Apparently not, I posted about HVL (Former LSU player) earlier on the Rant and one admin got their ovaries in a knot and deleted it.

My guess is they were within appropriate testosterone levels and were taking the appropriate medication to keep that in check. The testosterone blocker will reduce strength by quite a bit.
That’s what Caster struggled with, not being able to reduce the level of testosterone within the female range. And they refused to take testosterone blocking medication, so they couldn’t meet the baseline. I’m ok with that (being banned for not being within testosterone levels).

It’s worth posting again.
I may start another thread about it.

This is ultimately the person you should feel the most sorry for with the entire trans movement. She gets lumped in with psycho dick choppers because the all loving god decided to frick her up with a little Y chromosome from mini non descending testicles

Caster Semenya
I fully understand both sides of the argument, but ultimately I find it more wrong to point at the person born fricked up and say “it’s unfair the advantage you have”. Yeh, super cool to be born with mini testicles inside you and be a freak for life. How lucky she gets to be a little faster and stronger

Men could not physically compete with Bolt. We was physically superior. Was that fair for all that had to lose to him?
Women can’t physically compete with ledecky. Is that fair? Should she be forced to wear weights to make it even?
If the one advantage a hermaphrodite gets in life is sports I can live with that easier than I can banning them outright.
The dick choppers can go straight to hell though
