Switching back and forth from X to TD I find TD is so much better. I don’t have a facebook but I’m confident it’s crap compared to TD.

yep
and not only that but we all come from so many different backgrounds that on any random topic we have experts to almost instantly chime in on the topic .
it's not perfect for sure but it's where you wanna be for breaking news

I used to like it alot more than mainstream social media (twitter, facebook, etc) but TD has become too headline regurgitation and clickbait rather than engaging conversation like it used to be.

This place is technically “social media”, but I like the anonymous component of forums, chat rooms etc. I think it fosters more open, honest, and often times hilarious discussion.
I also get most of my headline news from here as kind of an aggregator. Better than sifting through all the bullshite on CNN or Reddit or wherever.
