No way it is 30lbs just muscle. Mixture of good and bad weight. Anyone else concerned we put too much weight on him? I was worried about this becoming kenny hilliard 2.0

I would be very surprised if he put on 30lbs of pure muscle in one offseason..... (cue clip from "The Program")

That said, I am not the least bit worried about it. LSU pays people way more knowledgeable than me to worry about that.

He was listed at 200 as a high school recruit, listed at 225 on last years roster and 235 on this year's roster. So 10 pounds in a year if you want to believe roster weights.

Yes. Ran a 4.5 last year and was clocked around 4.6 this summer.

I'll say that I think 235 is too much.

Frankly, 225 last year was perfect.

Also, players typically have to keep their weight up in the season. I wonder if they now get fined, bc of nil, if they don’t keep their weight on point.

It’s probably 15-20 lbs muscle and the rest isn’t necessarily fat just extra weight on his body and probably displaced all over.
Bottom line, 235 is like LF big.

Looking forward to it, him and that line are gonna put a hurtin on some teams.

The S&C guys monitor these guys daily. I doubt he put it on without their guidance.

He was 225 last year. 10 Ibs in a year. Some of that is muscle, a little bit of that is fat, and some of that is water retention.

Same. 220-225 seems like the perfect range for a "big back". 235 starts to remind of Kenny Hilliard. Just a pound it RB for short yardage, seeks out contact and barrels over guys but doesn't make the break away play.

Of course there's plenty that can make it work at that weight. Kaleb may well be one of them. Just don't want him to alter his game too much from last year. Seemed primed for a break out

Seems a bit heavy, but the staff must have a plan because they have their finger on every member of the team. He’s definitely going to be the hammer on this offense.

The tweet said he arrived on campus at 200 pounds so it’s actually 2 offseasons. He was listed at 225 last season so he only put on 10 pounds of muscle since last season.
