Pretty interesting map of high rise buildings being built in cities across USA and Canada

90 in Miami?! Where the hell are they putting 90 high rises in Miami?

I’m still amazed that downtown Orlando does not have a bigger skyline. It’s a metro of well over 2 million and their downtown looks like a Macon GA lol

Interesting western Canadian cities building like that.

I assume a lot of Miami is scraping small footprints for high rise condos

The Map considers a High Rise as ten or more stories... so hardly a high rise...
Also, I'm pretty sure there are several condo buildings 10 stories or higher being built in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach currently. Map does not include those.

It's only MSAs over 500k.

In Louisiana Parishes were they would erect a building more than 10 stories, it's coded out. For example in St. Tammnay:
quote:
No building or dwelling for residential or business purposes shall exceed thirty-five (35) feet in height above the natural grade
So they go wide instead of tall.

NYC has kind of quietly built a lot of tall buildings this century. The ESB once again became the tallest building in the city after 9/11 and seven buildings have surpassed it in height since then.
