Someone posted this tamale on Facebook and said it was delicious. She had chili, cheese and onions on top. She also said it had a lot of meat in the filling. Other folks also posted that they are really good. Figured I'd share it for those who may be interested.

I didn't have it. I've never been to that place and don't live in BR. I do love good tamales, though, and we've discussed them here, which is why I shared it.

We buy some locally and sometimes, I'll add chunks to my bowl of chili.

The picture looks more like a chili cheese dog, which I don't eat.

I'd call that a tamale pie...which I can outrun...therefore I can and do eat it.

It is kind of like a tamale pie now that you mention it. I also don't have issues with eating that sort of thing.

RaceTrac has a food station where you can get nachos and add hot cheese, chili, onions, jalapenos, banana peppers, etc .... to your food. That almost looks like someone got the tamales with plastic saran wrap located under a heat lamp with the roller (with sausage, corn dogs, hot dogs, etc..) Then added the nacho cheese, chili, and diced onions on the tamales.
