Name something that annoys you about your own team’s fanbase.

Everybody talks trash about opposing fanbases, but today let’s discuss things that annoy us about our own fanbases. I’ll start:
The New York Yankees have some of the most passionate and knowledgeable fans in baseball. However, the thing that annoys me the most is when they (usually the bandwagon fans) say “27 rings”. This is annoying and unfactual, because the Yankees do NOT have 27 rings. Every true Yankee fan knows that despite having 27 championships, the Yankees have 26 rings. This is because when the Yankees won the first of their world record 27 championships in 1923, they received championship pocket watches, not rings. The Yankees received championship rings starting in 1927, which they received for the rest of their world championships.
Anyway, what is something that annoys you about your own fanbase? I’ll hang up and listen.

The fact Red Sox fans thought there truly was a Sox-Yanks rivalry pre-2000. There was a continued arse kicking, but gotta actually win for there to be a rivalry.

eh, rivalries can be one sided.
saints-49ers was a big rivalry in the 80s and 90s that i don't think any 9ers fan cared about

Complaining about the coach when we're the defending champions.

Every time I go to the stadium, the opposing fanbase has as many people attending.

I've spent my entire life seeing Louisianans portrayed on television as coonasses biting the heads off alligators cooked over a fire while speaking some broken French English bullshite hybrid language.
STTDB being heard on national television for every game makes all those liberal, northern clowns think that what they see on tv is actually us.
STTDB is also the least clever thing that has ever been chanted at opposing teams in sports history. It's stupid.

I think cheeseheads look stupid.

The infatuation with Neck
In fairness this probably only applies to students or anyone under the age of 23.

People who have never been inside a classroom on campus professing to have been "a Dawg all my life"...

There are a lot of things that annoy me about being an OSU fan at times.
A couple:
1. You would think the other team is literally just showing up to lose. I was at a bar in DC probably 7 years ago and there was no joke a guy flipping out about Rutgers having a 10 yard run in the 4th quarter when OSU was up by 30 points. The other team has scholarship players too who want to win
2. The jerseys on adults. It's fine when you are a student, but meh I don't roll with it post maybe 25
3. The expectations - this has happened in the last 10 years or so with all the top schools. If you don't literally win the national title, it's a bad year. When i was in school in the early 2000s, when OSU was damn good, winning the conference was a great achievement. Now no one cares

LSU fans would rather the team fail so they can be right than be wrong and the team succeeds.

Many fanbases like to say anyone outside the top 5 or maybe even top 3 "sucks" or is "not good"
Not that long ago, winning 10 games and your bowl was a banner year for just about every team, even those with championship aspirations.
Now you are trash if you don't make the CFP and you're "not good" if you don't win it all.

This is a good one
Also, the fact that someone, ANYONE has to be fired anytime something goes wrong according to the rant

I like to think that a lot of the folks who post in favor of this chant do so ironically or facetiously… but maybe I have a little too much faith in humanity.
As a distant second place, I also am annoyed by those in our fan base who argue about Mike coming into the stadium by comparing him to their house cat and/or are over the top in blaming the tradition being eliminated on PITA or other boogeymen.

Buckeye Guy and the network’s obsession with showing him every chance they get.

Whenever we lose to UGA and the “At least we have academics!” crowd crows about it as if UGA was a community college.

Sundays through Fridays they are one of the best teams in the country, but on Saturdays they suddenly suck arse.

Its disappointing to have both Owlfan and SFP on this message board.

Him signing the Earle Bruce poster meant to be from former players at the funeral was one of the trashiest things I've seen.
There's another OSU superfan...all gray and bald headed but he's not as bad.
