So a political party just trashed their presidential candidate and primary winner. They are going to trash their VP also. God this may very well set them back two decades. I said one I think I’m underestimating how this will hit the independents and moderate Dems.

This isn’t a done deal. They have to at least give the appearance of supporting the minority candidate(except Obama because he is a minority)

The way the primary process works, Biden gets to choose his delegates. All but 7 of the delegates have been chosen by Biden.

Those are the people who get to decide who the Democrat nominee is. And Biden has publicly asked them to throw their support to Harris.

Talking about other people is kind of silly. Unless Biden tells his delegates to vote for whoever they want, the majority of them will choose who he asks because they were hand picked by his campaign.

They're no longer pledged to him, but they're still picked by him. While not every one of them will do what he says, the majority will. It's a done deal unless Biden changes his mind.

It's not like the delegates are the same people and are told to vote for whatever candidate wins. They're hand picked by the person who "won" the delegates. These are not "generic" Democrats. Their Biden supporting Democrats.
