Has Corey Raymond ever lost a recruit from his home town?

Miami was always all in on Antoine. It had nothing to do with Pickett. Miami wanted both of them badly. Miami has a very Louisiana-centric coaching staff. The OC and DC are Louisiana natives and Chevis Jackson is the DB coach.

Yep I have a feeling he will end up in this class. Miami should win what is a sorry excuse for a conference. If they can't this year when their 2 biggest threats Clemson and Florida state appear to be less talented then it's just not happening.

Please read what I wrote. I never said Chevis is from Louisiana.

Yes, he has. And, from what I hear the staff at Miami thinks highly of him. I can imagine Chevis may end up at an SEC school soon as a DB coach or he could make the move DC and eventually end up at an SEC school.

He will sign and transfer after 1-2. For sure if Jackson leaves.

Hopefully Pickett doesn’t flip to Miami.

This was a money issue
Miami’s NLI offer was 3x lsu
But nothing set in stone and there is no official agreement, if JA visits and stays in contact , this can easily turn

I don’t think this is as much a Raymond thing as much as a Westgate thing. The Tight-end had BK dancing just to spurn him in the end. Derek Williams chose Texas early and never looked back. Now we got Antoine. I can’t say what it is, but it’s something that was in the air while Corey wasn’t even here.

If this is the case, I think LSU will come up with a competitive final offer, but I don’t think they’ll go back and forth with it. It’ll be here’s this generous offer to stay close to home and play for a contender or get more money and go play in front of 500 people for a program that hasn’t been relevant since before he was born in a dying conference.

LSU gave Pickett 750k. That’s 250k more than Will Campbell gets currently.

I doubt LSU was willing to outbid Miami for Antoine.

Pickett was the prize CB.

This is incorrect information being thrown around by our competitors to stoke discontent. Pickett got paid handsomely but not that much.

Moscona said it confidently on air. Not from competitors, but insiders.
