I love Pluto.
Haven’t seen this movie in a long time and caught it from the beginning on Pluto. My main memory and fondness for the movie was obviously this:
But after a rewatch it stands up pretty well as a cheesy 90’s sci-fi flick with a great cast and interesting, tight storyline. The ending went a little off the rails with mama alien and baby….but not too much. Also, you could make the case that unlike a lot of movies, the ending actually delivered rather than fizzling out.
It seemed to be universally panned for its sexual content but the alien wanting to reproduce makes total sense plus it was these scenes that introduced young Squatch and the rest of the world to a smoking hot Natasha Henstridge. Lifeforce was much more over the top with more nudity but it seems to be more favorably remembered than Species.

Decent enough flick with a good cast. I'm not a big Michael Madsen fan but he was OK in that movie even though he's pretty much playing the same character in every movie I've seen him in.
Forrest Whitaker comes off a bit quirky as the "empath" character.
Now, Natashia Henstridge held my interest with me being a red blooded, heterosexual male who appreciates the feminine form------at least ones sporting her type form.
Yeah, the ending got a little cheesy and the follow up sequels really took things to "should have stopped at one" level.

Random story:
I participated in the Hollywood Christmas Parade back in 2012 holding one of the ropes for the big arse Oscar the Grouch balloon as a part of the Five0Four crew. That was the NOLA bar on Hollywood blvd where we'd always go to watch the Saints games. Natasha Henstridge was in the car behind our crew and I kept looking back getting all whip lashed lol. Bad pic but that was her. Fun times!

I saw it in the theater with my dad. 15 year old me quite enjoyed it. I think my dad did too. Neither of us cared for the story that much though.

random story but for my buddies 15th birthday in 95 or 96 we rented this and Braveheart on VHS and must have rewound her topless scene at least 20 times ! after movie we then ran around and played hide and seek outside in the woods till like midnight after this movie probably trying to run off the hormone buildup from that scene
then we watched braveheart and mind was blown even more so wrestled in living room for like an hour !
just brought up an old memory so thought i would say thanks !

15 year old Coke absolutely loved this movie for obvious reasons. I honestly don’t remember much about it outside of the generic plot (alien creature is a smokeshow and wants to frick) and I think I prefer it that way. Seems like if I rewatched it today I may think it sucks.
I may give it a rewatch this Halloween and see how it holds up. I suspect it won’t hold up well, but at least I’ll have good ole NH to power me through it.

It’s also logical that if an alien species were going to infiltrate the earth they would do so with a being that was off the charts hot….not with a Rosie ODonnell clone that would have a tough time procreating.

Met Natasha at the MTV Rock N Jock Super Bowl in NOLA in the 90s.

It didn't make sense that she needed the perfect mating partner to get pregnant, which randomly ends up being horny Alfred Molina. If she's just trying to grow the species she would've been getting fricked by hobos every 30 mins like the dude was in Species 2.

That’s funny as at least as of right now the Wikipedia plot summary states:

It was edited by someone back in May who seemed to mostly be rearranging the order of the previous summary but also added the additional description on the death. I guess Rogue34 saw what he or she was really wanting to see during that scene.
Or it’s an old movie and most of the big editors are too busy pushing trans and politics right now.
Off topic with OP but about Wiki and hardline Trans/pronoun editors, a month ago someone snuck an edit in page of Amanda Hale from Ripper Street and White Queen being a trans-female in short description under Title. It’s weird because I can only see this in the iOS Wikipedia app. The mobile and desktop versions using a browser don’t show that text right under the title of page even though the edit is still listed on both.
I have only seen her in a couple of things and recognized name under cast listing on White queen’s wiki page but couldn’t remember why. I didn’t think that she could be a trans in what I have seen previously (but shows weren’t focused much on her), so I searched a little and could not see any other mention of it. In some of her interviews she does seem to try too hard to point out her man and being a typical feminine female while seeming a little awkward doing so.
