Miniature guitar amp

My daughter is moving into a dorm on campus this fall and wants to bring her electric guitar. Rules prevent her from bringing a large amp. Any recommendations on a quality miniature amp that she can plug headphones into?

Fender has the little plug in deal that you plug into your guitar and plug headphones into that. I think it's about 100 bucks.
I've got 1 of the Orange Crush micro amps that you can plug headphones into, or use it like a small amp also. They are around $60.00 now I think.
I kind of like how it sounds. It's like 6 inches square and weighs less than 2 LBS. It works off of a 9volt battery or a power supply.

For a dorm, I'd without question get a Boss Katana Mini. It has headphone jack but also small speakers for low wattage conversation volume playing during non-quiet daytime hours. Three voicings, onboard delay, it can run off batteries, lot of cool features for $99 street.

Can definitely second the Katana mini. It's a great practice amp. I use mine all the time.

Another vote for a Boss Katana. I have a Katana Go and a good pair of headphones. I've also played it through my Klipsch bookshelf speakers and it sounded great.

I'd shell out extra $$$ for the Katana Air. Still a lunch box size but wireless and bluetooth.
If not that, either Katana Mini or the Positive Grid Spark (larger or smaller size).

Thanks for all the suggestions, just wanted to find a way for her to keep playing while at school. Y'all came through as expected!

Yamaha THR modeling amp; perfect for those needs.

Yamaha THR. I have the 30w, it isn’t cheap but it is so versatile. Can actually be played at tv volume, can run on internal battery and has a built in wireless receiver. Bluetooth for playing along / backing tracks, 3.5mm headphone jack.
It fits on a desk and can double as a Bluetooth speaker. If she is serious about guitar, this is a great investment

Oh man how times have changed. Lived in a dorm in college 93-94 and had my Marshall half stack in there and would crank it regularly. Actually made some friends that way. Probably pissed off others as well. I was young and stupid but those were good times!

I LOVE my NUX Mighty Plug Pro and have only messed with some of the capabilities.

Do you have a link to that? That sounds ideal.

I have a Fender Rumble15 bass amp. It might work for a guitar as well.
It has an auxiliary input that I can plug an old cell phone and play along with YouTube and Spotify pieces.
Also, it has a headphone jack the you can play silently to the world. It's small and light, doesn't take up a lot of space and you can put it on the floorboard of a car.
Cranked up to the max, it probably won't get her kicked out of the dorm.
I see them all over the place on FB marketplace for $45-60.

That Rumble would be fine for guitar. May not be optimal tone wise, but would work well.
Conventional wisdom is guitar fine into bass amp, bass can go through guitar amp but be careful and make sure the speakers are capable.

Yamaha THR10 is the best and coolest piece of musical gear I've ever owned.
She can also look into one of these cheapies (or something similar, I have a monoprice version), which work only with headphones and have no speaker.

I've also heard pretty good things about those Positive Grid Spark amps.
