Sure feels like it after the QB misery that was the Miles Era outside of a few bright spots.

Hell you could even argue that Max Johnson on some of those Miles teams would’ve been a major upgrade at QB.

I mean, without question Max was an upgrade.

Jennings and Harris may have been the most dogshit QBs in recent history.

It’s always been an intriguing place for QBs because we are never at a loss for elite athletes being around you.

The problem was every QB just had to watch a Les Miles team to realize he’d never get to throw to those elite athletes.

That perception has changed drastically.

Mett, Jennings, Harris, Etling, Burrow, (Brennan, Finley, Johnson), Daniels. Past 12 years.

Jennings and Harris fwiw were probably on par with Lee...

I'd say we've since Etling been in a great place with QBs. Sure we wished we could have gotten better output out of Brennan/Finley/Johnson, but we were able to recruit and land them as "high caliber QBs with endless potential". We have really good guys on campus and coming in. I hope they live up to the expectations that have been set over the course of these past 12 years.

still wonder what would've happened had Gunner Kiel had a bigger chest.

Those late Miles teams with literally anyone semi-comptent at QB would have been trouble

Don't know but we have had quite the run the past 6 years to get two Heisman level QBs. And I got to hear Nuss here on local Dallas Radio sports network covering the SEC Media days today and really starting to like this kid a lot! A local product who grew up around the game with all the tools. He could be special as well.

Geaux Tigers!!

And F&%k Bama!!

We have had infinitely more Heisman QBs in the last 5 years than in our entire history before that.

The problem was never the QB’s. It was the system and development of QB’s.

The best two QBs ever to wear LSU colors played in the past 5 years, both historic heisman winners and barring any major injury Nuss is primed for the 2nd best passing season in LSU history this year.

They weren’t even in the same ballpark as Lee, and that’s not some huge compliment to him

It was more of a rhetorical one. Obviously we are and the future is BRIGHT
