I'm going to Canada in September and need a shotgun. I've lost touch with the available options since I've not hunted ducks and geese in a long time.
In the past I shot everything from a Super X Model 1 to a Benelli Super 90.
I'm looking at Browning A5s, CZs, and Winchesters currently.
Thoughts?

I’ve always shot Beretta’s and they have been great. I handled a few of the news ones and they seem nice.
I don’t have any experience with the 3 you mentioned.

I have an A5, Benelli SBE II, Wingmaster 3.5”, & Citori 3.5”. For Waterfowl, SBEII gets the call…

I prefer gas guns myself. It really depends on what you want to spend. I’d rather a browning maxis or silver over an A5.
Edit: Honestly, you’re not going to go wrong with Beretta, Benelli, Browning, or Winchester SX… go to the gun store and shoulder everything you’re thinking about and get whichever one you like best.

Unless your planning on going regularly any pump or semi auto will survive a couple of hunts a year. Even cheap ones will last a long time when used sparingly. If you're going semi might want to run a couple of boxes of shells through it before leaving. Most of them need some breaking in to cycle properly....far better for it to malfunction on the skeet range than it will be when ducks and geese are cupped up and feet down....
It might be a good idea to buy 2 cheap pump guns and have a backup. If this is a once in a lifetime bucket list trip the last thing you want is a new gun malfunctioning. Its not likely but it can happen. If you are going with an outfitter they almost always have rentals. If you are taking a new to you gun there isn't a lot of difference in that and using a rental unless you do some skeet or sporting clays with the new one.

This is the ticket. Wing shooting is ALL about gun fit. Not every brand nor every model in the same brands fit the same. I can't shoot Winchester and new Remington shotguns very well but almost everything Browning makes has always fitted me almost perfectly. I hunt almost exclusively with a 30 year old Japanese Citori because it is by far the best shotgun I have ever owned....I can hit probably 20% or more regularly with that gun than any one I have ever shot. It also saves me about 20% in shells with only 2 to use. I have hit dutch triples with it.. only 2-3 times, but I hit doubles with it on a regular basis. It is all about "feel" when it comes to wing shooting.

This is correct….unless you are going to practice a lot. Even then you are simply getting used to something that does not fit right.
I look at shotguns as you buy something nice…A400, and take care of it. Or you buy a cheaper version because you know that you will not properly take care of it. I shoot a Stoeger 3500 and love it. Yeah, I went cheap(er).

I have a Browning Maxus and a Benelli SBE3. Both great guns and i shot both very well. My normal go to is the SBE3. Fits me better and she has never let me down.

I have an extensive shotgun collection. Benelli, Beretta, Browning,Ithaca, Krieghoff, Perrazi, Remington,Winchester, Franchi, Mossberg, you name the brand i have it. Auto, pump, Over and unders, gas driven, inertia or break over and all the above. In the last 4-5 years I have found myself grabbing a Stoeger M3500 over and over and over for ducks and geese. It's an inertia driven gun with a counterweight in the stock to remove for low brass cartridges. Absolute Dog in the field. Seems to be the 870 of the auto class you just cant stop them. I have 2 now and both have over 10k rounds and I have changed the extractor in both after about 8000 rounds simply because I wore them out!

You going to add a ported choke to help blow everyone’s ears off?

Weatherby has a new shotgun out called the Sorix. Might be worth a look.

It's more comfortable. Can swing a lot more freely.

Canada, ducks and geese…..
Assuming price isn’t an option since I know what those hunts cost.
It really comes down to 2 choices:
Gas or inertia - do you like recoil reduction or simplicity.
Gas - beretta a400
Inertia - Benelli sbe 2 or 3
Browning is a clone of Winchester super x (maxus2) and sbe (a5)
These are your new 3.5 top of line guns, if you wanna fall back into a browning silver or a Winchester sx3 you can save some money but up to you
I’ve owned all of the above: buy once cry once.

What Augusta said
Go to gun store handle B guns benelli beretta browning and buy one that fits you best.
I wouldbget 28" barrel, swings better and is safer in A frame, wont fall over as easily.
Practice... go out to skeet or sporting range
Enjoy and post pics. I am off to SK end of September

I love my ole man's Model 37...especially the part that ejects out the bottom. I can pick it up left or right handed and shoot it without worrying about powder burn in my face when I'm cycling it.

It hasn't been mentioned yet, but damn I still love a Benelli M2
