What is the board's feeling about Coke-Zero Sugar
Posted on 7/16/24 at 3:45 pm to neilh
Along with Diet Dew my go to drinks. Add in water, coffee, and milk as well.

It’s my favorite and nothing wrong with artificial sweeteners in moderation.
Posted on 7/16/24 at 5:15 pm to neilh
I prefer most Zero Sugar versions to the Diet version.

Better than diet. A&W zero is the best diet drink though.

Too sweet. Prefer Diet Coke.

I like it. I also like Pepsi Cherry Zero.

Have you seen the latest research on artificial sweeteners being posted by Rhonda Patrick and Ken Berry? They are almost certainly not 'good' for you and the issue with these products is they are all cross contaminated with forever chemicals and the manufacturers don't even know what is really in them. That goes for regular, diet, and 'zero sugar' sodas across the whole spectrum. I'd argue all the PFAS's in regular sodas are worse for you than the sugar. They are literally poison. All of them it doesn't matter which version.

I got off ALL (soda, "cokes", pop, whatever) several years ago and now have one maybe 3-4 times per year - don't miss them at all.

do they help you lose body fat? do health markers improve while using them as a substitute to help not eat sweets?
you are so fricking stupid with this shite. like everyone is going to give up everything and live this pure lifestyle where they dont have anything that isnt perfect ever
you get so wrapped up in the very very minor things you miss the big picture. it doesnt surprise me, you have an extreme personality where you get addicted to things...like with the having sex with thousands of women like you claim and the decade+ of abusing steroids
and then you act like everyone else is wrong because they dont go to the extremes that you do and you cant understand why they dont
in many ways i have many of the personality traits to an extent(not the addicting personality traits but more the driver driver type A persona) but i have enough self awareness to understand these things.
again does the research show improved bio markers? yea they fricking do

but hey im sure they are responsible for the coming health apocalypse.

My post was more aimed at all the PFAS's in this stuff which I did not know about until several months ago. I also am alarmed at the studies of sucralose and other artificial sweeteners coming out of Europe - you won't find them here because it is such a big business. All I am saying is the best practice is to avoid them. They are not 'good' for you. Can you use them and lose weight? Maybe. What I am talking about is the other things. Just because one is losing weight it does not mean it is 'good' for you. I've done a lot of things in my life and I try to be honest about it and for good reason - I do not want people making the same mistakes I did. I love to train. I love to read about and seek out information on metabolic and cardiovascular health. To me - drinking any kind of soda doesn't fit in that window. This might surprise you but over Fourth of July weekend I went to The Varsity and ate 4 chili cheese burgers and 4 chili cheese dogs so even I will do something like that once in a blue moon. I also like to have one or two Big Macs a year and some fries from McD's. That isn't going to kill me and it is normal. There is just a lot of bad things in these sodas and I'm not even talking about the real or processed sugars, the artificial sugars or sweeteners etc The companies that produce these items don't even know what cross contaminants are in each batch or lot of them. Soda's are not healthy regardless if they are zero calorie, zero sugar etc. That is my only point. If someone wants to drink 2 or 3 a day be my guest but it isn't 'healthy' for many reasons even if you ignore the real or fake sugars in them.

like i said...i get it...because i have some of the same traits...but you ahve to step back and look at others and normal everyday habits
for example...is it healthy to replace coke with coke zero? yep it is
again....does using them to lose weight improve metabolic, cardiovascular and other health markers...absolutely.
most have been proven to be complete and utter bullshite. mostly done on rats and mainly done with dosage that no human can intake
again....if i substituted all of the sugars I intake(well if i was normal person) with zero sugar subs....lost 30lbs over the course of 8 months....would my health markers improve? would my risk of heart attack, cancer and other things go down?
the answer is absolutely yes.

But you could also get cancer or dementia from the artificial sweeteners.
