Do you return stuff on eBay?

I’ll return on Amazon but most these eBay stores are so small with not a lot of sales so I feel like a peice of shite. Amazon is huge and makes no difference.

If the item is not as described or I feel misled, absolutely
If it's just because I decided I didn't want the item, no, I make that decision first before buying

Why not?
I've only returned one. A PC that had an undisclosed BIOS lock. Why would I not return a useless to me PC?

i returned a digital camera. It was listed as new open box. When i got it i checked the settings in the menu and the flash had been fired over 1000 times.

I wasn't aware people still shopped on eBay

I do. Or atleast check there first. I mostly use Amazon because the return policy is so easy.

Amazon is huge and makes no difference.
Amazon not only charges its sellers two-way shipping and processing penalties on all returns, but also subjects them to "Voice of the Customer" account deactivation should too many people buy the item by mistake and then say they're returning it because it's "defective."
That's why it's tough to make a profit selling on Amazon unless you're reselling cheap, high-margin junk from China.

Stuff I buy from ebay usually doesn't have a high return rate. I think I've only ordered car and appliance parts from ebay over the last few years.

Yeah, I ordered a side mirror for my F-250 from eBay and it was in worse shape than the one I was trying to replace. Returned it but took a hit on the shopping. Got a brand new one on Amazon a few days later.

I have only returned on eBay item - a repainted train that was sold as original.

Much better deals on eBay if you know what you are doing. As poster above said, always check eBay before going to Amazon.
As far as the OP, I've only returned a computer that couldn't reset to factory settings. I had a clothing item sent in error and the seller said keep it and he would send me the correct one. He did and I have not had any problems in 20 years of transactions. I've made over 700 purchases and sold over 200 items. I only accept PayPal and ship to the contiguous states in the U.S. Also don't accept returns.

I sold my Rotimatic for $500+ shipping. I spent $30 on shipping material. And it was $110 to ship.
I send it and it gets there fast. The post office destroyed it though. It was obvious it was thrown around. I had to refund the buyer and the shipping he paid.
I lost a good bit of money. That's the only time I had an item I sold returned.

Generally no.
Did once because I bought a laptop and the USB port wouldn't boot from my flash drive. Would have been ok with it except I wanted to install Linux.
I offered to pay shipping both ways since it was a perfectly good Windows computer. The seller gave me a full refund.

I ordered a bubble making machine from Amazon one time from my little girl.
It wasn't the "pretty" ones from a Toys R Us. This was more like a ceremony one used for weddings, etc
I arrived partialy dented but still worked.
Mentioned that on a review I did on Amazon.
A new one showed up 4 days later.
Some of the merchants do read the reviews.

Yes, an antique sporting goods item that had obviously been "worked on", but that work was not disclosed in the original listing. The guy argued with me about it for a while until I got Ebay involved. I had an unbiased experts opinion and presented them with it. After that, they refunded the money.
It was a purchase from Canada, and was a messy return because the seller was an arse.
