I’d draft Herring before Jump, Jones before White

Don’t know how the draft will fall out but I think Herring offers more versatility including starter potential than Jump.
Bear made professional hitting adjustments this year that I never saw White make. Plus I think Jones will slot into a 1B/DH power role while Tanks is a huge question mark at 3B.

It’s easy to spot people that didn’t watch the games.

What adjustments did White need to make after hitting an extremely clutch .374 with 24 HRs and 105 RBI?

Jones before White. Nah, just look at two glaring differences, batting average and career consistency. Not even close.

Herring maybe has the 3rd pitch Jump has already shown, but he has shown he can hold up as a starter over the course of even a college season. Gage throws harder too.

At this point I would want to see Herring throw as a starter to see if he has any potential as a starter.

Jones worked really hard
to improve a glaring issue in his approach. Tommy doesn’t have as many glaring issues. He is just a good all around hitter and if he hadn’t had shoulder surgery in the off season probably would have hit 30 home runs or close to it.

You know what you can do with a guy who isn’t quite
athletic enough to play third? Put him at 1st/DH.

Why do you think this?

You made a bunch of statements with no explanation as to why you are making those statements.

Makes no sense. At worse if white doesn’t make it as a 3b, he moves to 1st. Has higher average and more hitting range. Herring is limited to being a starter. He doesn’t throw hard enough for teams to jump on him as a reliever. As a starter, he can work, but hasn’t shown enough unlike jump. Now all that said, herring has been starting g in summer, not sure on how deep he is going, but it takes 1 team to jump on his potential as a starter. And in reality he could be a decent situational lefty reliever, but teams aren’t taking flyers on that in early rounds if you are nt throwing 95 and above.

White didn't need to make big adjustments like Jones did. Even with all the adjustments Jones made, he had a K rate double that of White this year.
