Per Dandy Don, he passed away this morning in Lafayette. A great All-SEC player from the early 1970s.

He roomed with Ratphuc his freshman year. What a tandem those 2 were.

Fun fact: the NAME of the infamous character from The Phantom Menace, Jar Jar Binks, was a portmanteau of names of two LSU linemen from the 1970's-- Ramsey DarDar and Binks Miciotto.

Attended the same church Binks did in Lafayette. Got to know him serving on a committee with him. Always smiling, positive and upbeat. He LOVED LSU and would talk as long as you wanted about football. NEVER about him and what he accomplished. Hats off to you above cracking jokes about his name etc.

Long ago at the age of 13 I beat Binks in the first round of the Lafayette Open tennis tournament. He was such a nice guy and a great sport. Pretty good tennis player for such a big man. Ofcourse, I was already a big fan of his since he played football at LSU.

Binks was a cousin of mine. We were always very proud of him. His son played football at Southern Miss.

Always a class act throughout his life.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
