Listening to 104.9 ESPN, it feels like Jimmy Ott cant get on the Texas root hard enough

For some reason, Jimmy Ott and, to some extent, Matt Mascona have made listening to LSU sports almost unbarable now. God, I wish they would bring in new talent and change things up. The whole line-up has gotten stale.

Mascona is a dweeb.
Ott has been very different since coming back to the midday spot with Hanny. I don’t what changed in him on the nightly gambling show, but he needs to go back there or home.

After a few months you would just complain about the new talent.
Despite Masona's faults he put out a well organized/produced three hour show that is not caller driven in a small market. Believe it or not it BR sports radio could be a whole lot worse.

I just don’t understand why their lunchtime slot is filled by a straight up sports betting show.
I’d much rather listen to Hunt Palmer or solo Hanny actually talk about sports at lunch time than listen to Ott talk about horse racing over a bunch of handicappers. And when Hannigriff does actually try to talk sports, Ott still turns everything into a conversation about odds.
Moscona might be a little divisive (which is something he brings on himself honestly) but at least he has a fairly polished radio show.
ETA: I honestly find Hunt’s content to be the most interesting out of all the BR radio shows, which is unfortunate since he’s buried in the middle of the afternoon when everyone’s at work.

Moscona is actually very good when he’s a guest on Chuck Oliver, Crain & Co, etc. Knowledgeable and always represents the BR market well. Some of the other guests are horrible.
But he can come off as a douche on his show. shite gets old but it’s not easy hosting a daily show by yourself for 3 hours.
Ott is Ott. A goofy degenerate

Moscona haters are the most self-congratulatory morons on this site. One irritation and they take to the internet to hate for the sake of hating.
Matt is a very good radio guy, we are blessed to have him. I business travel across the South and nation, Baton Rouge is a great sports radio town. When you factor in per capita we may have the best sports radio in the country. But we sure to love to trash every guy that has a show.

Would you care to provide some context to your Nextdoor app-esqe complaint?
If the discussion is about betting, Texas has (on average) the 3rd best odds to win the NC. That's not to say they will. But if the topic of conversation is strictly betting I could see why there is a discussion about Texas.

Preview of coming attractions. We will all be so sick and tired of hearing about Texas this season and beyond. SEC epicenter moving west.

Evidently it’s getting listened to, if it weren’t getting listeners it wouldn’t be on the air as long as it’s been.
Ott is a little buttsucker, but for whatever reason people listen to him.

Hunt Palmer is the best thing 104.5 has going for it, wish Hester could get his own show too since I can really only take T-Bob in doses

Why we always got to bitch about something? We have a radio station pretty much dedicated to covering LSU sports from 7 in the morning to 6 at night. Not many other schools can say that. I think there’s enough variety that suits everyone. If you want more of a player perspective you can listen to TBob/Hester. If you want more of a knowledge/gambling perspective then you can listen to Hanny and Ott. I only say knowledge because Hanny knows his LSU history better than anyone else I’ve listened to. I appreciate that. If you want more of a fan perspective you can listen to Hunt or Moscona.

Ott was restrained a bit to focus on sports before sports betting became legal. Now, Ott and Hannagriff is a show targeted towards degenerate gamblers.
