Anyone able to listen to it yet or did he get too popular which inevitably means this board hates him now

Went to his concert in Birmingham and he performed great American bar scene and better days. Both were good songs live. Haven’t had a chance to listen to the album yet

Been listening to it all day

It’s a lot more somber/peaceful than his other stuff. The opening poem is really fricking good

The usual critics will have their gripes and they may even be legit, but for people like me that don’t like to overthink music too much, it’s great

He killed it, per usual. You can tell it’s heavily influenced by some of his idols.

Nothing will ever beat American Heartbreak. If you can accept that, you should be able to enjoy it.

Yeah I’ll need a few more listens for my official thoughts but overall I like it a lot so far

I had heard a few already that I love like Pink Skies, Great American Bar Scene, and Like Ida

As for the ones I hadn’t heard before, I think Memphis the blues with John Moreland is one of the best songs on the album. Also really like Better Days w/ John Mayer, Boons, and Oak Island

Him becoming popular is how i heard of him. I listened to an album and think he sucks.

At least the one with him smoking on it sucks.

Don't like. Too sad and depressing, and no bangers to be found.

I’m listening through for the first time, and I’m not feeling this at all. Too melancholy. ZB needs to learn not to release everything he writes.

It’s very meh. If you just randomly heard it and didn’t know it was Zach Bryan you would say it’s not very good

I did. Somes really good. Others just seemed like filler. It’s really hard to see what he does with it in live shows. I’ve always thought he should do the jam band method, play smaller shows multiple weekend nights. Then a 1 show Wednesday somewhere in between. He has enough songs and can sprinkle in covers to make people see him multiple nights.

Him and Moreland is probably the best song on there.

Thought it was outstanding. A little dark and depressing is how I like my country as well. The Way Back is the best song on the album imo

Same here. The piano keys are so good on it.

I really appreciate Zach's story telling.

Been through it twice. It's decent. Far from this best but it's not bad.

28, Sandpaper and Memphis are my favorites so far.

American Nights is my favorite on this one. Going to see him in New Orleans in a couple of weeks.
