Tight calves are a culprit .. work on that.

I had a friend who also had some sort of foot splint from Amazon I think .. she said that helped her a lot. She wore it at night.

I’m no expert but I’ve had PF a few times.. if you can block out a weekend and stay off it, just sit on your arse and watch tv, i find that rest does wonders.. but literally stay off it totally for 2 or 3 days in a row.. the other thing is don’t skimp on shoes.. i used to get cheap running shoes but then i upgraded and it’s helped a lot, along with Dr Scholls inserts.. also, once it feels better, shed some lbs , ya fatass.. hope that helps, good luck .

I had it, do not know if there are different degrees of severity. I healed it rolling my foot on a tennis ball and a froze water bottle.

Cycling and stretching got rid of it for me. I took a couple year break from riding and it crept up. Gone as long as I keep up with my cardio.

a) rest and ice (frozen water bottle) I’m talking 2-3 days off ya feet
b) calf stretches till it almost hurts
c) hi arch insoles. Even if you don’t have a high arch, wear them for a while and you’ll notice other parts of your body (knee, ankle, outside of foot, even hip) are aching at first, but thats because they are working properly in alignment for the first time in awhile.

Have dealt with this when I was younger and I was instructed to do this, got over it and it never came back.

Calf stretches like it was said above.

Try the Birkenstock shoe inserts for long term relief/fix. I bought some 6 years ago and am still using the same ones. They are the only thing that fixed it for me. They are made of the Birkenstock cork you see in all of their shoes so they mold over time to the bottom of your foot.

My wife took a couple of years off and it popped back for her too disappeared when she got serious again. I would point out I think it has a lot to do with wearing cycling shoes and cleats because it move the pressure to the balls of your feet. A casual cyclist who tends to place their arch over the axle pedal might actually exacerbate it.

Always wear shoes with support, never go barefoot around the house.

Do not get out of bed in the morning without stretching. Flex your feet, stretching your calves.

Rest. Advil.

Laser therapy. Easy, non invasive, and painless. Actually feels quite nice.

I bought the ball type shoe insert and mine healed 100%. I tried several different things and nothing else worked.

Your feet are weak. You either need to strengthen them or get supports.

Go get some zero drop shoes. Get on a plantar plan like Movement Vault or Knees Over Toes.

Only thing that worked for me is ice and rest.

I was out of it for about 5 days.

Aleve was needed.

Find a PT that does Dry needling. Needle your calves to help loosen them up.

Put a rolled up rag under your toes, specifically big toe to put it in extension, and do calf raises. The toe extension really helps stretch the plantar fascia…3 sets of 15 twice a day

Sleep with a night splint from Amazon

It takes time, it's a frustrating injury. You'll need to find the right shoes and insoles for your feet. Stretch your calves daily. Use a massage ball and/or a frozen water bottle throughout the day.
