My whole dad's side of the family who lives in Bywater all hates her.

Wonder if y'all have any stories or opinions about her.

Of course I’m no fan of her politics, but I think she went after Latoya hard and that’s a plus.

She had a front row seat to the demise of New Orleans.

I've been around her a few times. She was freaking hilarious and couldn't have been a nicer or more entertaining person. All I got.

Didn't realize she was still alive. Had to be pushing 100.

I knew her before Katrina.

88 years old.

Met and dealt with her a bit with my work back in the day. Nice, funny, classy lady. Old-time New Orleans (Algiers) through and through, she was able to get things done-- one was making LADOTD fix the I-10 on-ramp at Julia Street by the Superdome, which enabled the third lane on the Pontchartrain Expressway to be come back (which greatly helped traffic coming from the West Bank and heading west on I-10):

My grandmother wanted my father to date and marry her way back when. Their store on the corner of Pelican Avenue and Seguin Street in Algiers was next door to my grandmother's house.

She happily attended the Planned Parenthood groundbreaking. Screw her.

Clarkson lived in Algiers her entire life. She and her husband, Buzz, raised five daughters there, including Academy Award-nominated actress Patricia Clarkson.

Thought that's who that was. I do think her daughter is a good actress.

Grew up in the neighborhood of Jackie's husband Buzz.. It's amazing how much Jackie's daughters resemble Buzz's mother. The daughters look alike and sound alike... One of Jackie's daughters bought the house and completely renovated the house from top to bottom and did a fantastic job.. This was in the 90's.. My dad passed away in 2005, week before Katrina. Jackie and one of her daughters came to my dad's funeral... Very nice lady and was so gracious. It was one of those things that you don't forget...

Was that the contract post office about 20 years ago? I remember that place let dogs in and had biscuits on the counter.
