Low testosterone question.

I just celebrated my 62nd birthday and had blood work done and was found to have testosterone levels roughly have of what the low numbers should be. My psa and other blood work is super. I have high blood pressure and take meds to contain it. I also have bph and take tadalfil for that. My physician is suggesting but not pushing me to and testosterone replacement. I am a little over 6 ft and weigh 245 most fat around the gut.

This is indeed the place to ask for medical advice

This, though it’s neither in the form of a question nor properly punctuated.
Pretty sure.

What are the numbers?
I’m also dealing with low T at 39 years old. I’m trying to lose excess fat (20 pounds) and sleep better. I already lift and run, so I’m just continuing there.
Urologist said I can start TRT whenever I want, but I’m trying to raise them naturally.
My t level is 242.

Ask Frank Thomas and Doug Flutie

My libturd female physician didn't even want to test me for low testosterone. Was so frustrated that I may never go back to the doctor. They are all alpha men hating communists anymore.

Lose weight and quit drinking first.

Maybe try to fix this problem naturally before looking to TRT? Lift weights, walk, eat protein like it’s your job, cut down or quit drinking, sleep 8 hours a night.
Promise you that number will improve.

What is a normal increase in production from accomplishing these things? Is it realistic to increase it 400-600 points from doing these things? That seems like a lot. I lost 40 lbs recently and my number increased but not by a real meaningful amount.

I eat protein, I sleep about 7 hours regularly. I average a couple of beers or mix drinks a month.
Doc says the low end of test numbers for my age should be around 500 or so and mine are around 250.

How exactly do you "raise it naturally" ? It should be around 600 - 800. Mine was about the same as yours before I started TRT. I had no idea until I had lab work done, sexual desire/performance has never been an issue, etc. but I am 55 and now I feel better than I did at 30 and am in better shape than ever.
To the OP: do it. Start today or tomorrow. You will feel 30 years younger.

Go to an endocrinologist and not a urologist. I had similar issues. My problem was in my adrenal gland and not my testicles. Started taking clomiphene and within 6 months my testosterone levels were back up in the 600s.

It’s not just about losing weight overall. Muscle stimulation, high protein intake and good sleep all naturally enhance testosterone.
