Just saw a video of Hwy 1 near Bridgeside. Looks like a foot deep. The pavilion at Bridgeside is knee deep. Any reports on getting to the island? Supposed to head down tomorrow for the Creole Classic, but I don’t think my small truck can handle the water I’m seeing.

With all the rain and winds from Alberto it’s safe to say it will remain partially flooded until Alberto makes landfall Thursday. Should fall pretty fast Thursday night and be dirty until Sunday or Monday.

6” of water under my camp right now. This is typical for the wind and high tides we are getting right now. We had 36” of water for Ida.
You can expect the same tomorrow. Not sure if the road near Hurricane Hole will be passable.

Just saw a video of the pavilion at Bridgeside Marina. Looks much deeper there than I would have expected.

LA1 between Fourchon and Grand Isle has water across it and there's plenty of pics on social media of water on the island.

We have <1' of water under the camp right now. High tide was at 4a this morning and again tomorrow morning at 4:30a.

At least we have power, for now...

All of those campers are going to rust and fast at that.

That’s down oak. It’s pretty low there. Doesn’t help that the pumps for that area are not working.

It has fallen 3-4 inches at my camp without the pumps.

And someone is going to see that John Deere mower quick.

And that is why I decided about ever putting a camper there

Bridgeside RV park stayed dry. Robert Vegas sent me some pictures (probably his video of the pavilion with knee deep water a lot of people saw).

I’m always amazed that some of the standard golf carts my neighbors have survive more than a couple of seasons running the beach. I cringe taking my side by side out there at times, and always rinse the shite out of it and it STILL rusts.

Bridgeside just posted a video on facebook. Everything there seems to be back to normal but can't speak for the rest of the low-lying spots on the island.

Been on the island since Tuesday. Water is still muddy, but getting better. Shrimp boats resumed running yesterday. Carmandales has crabs and shrimp. Saw a dozen or more bay boats in the back this morning. Beach packed with people. Wind still 15ish, which makes the beach even better. Fishing won’t be great, but you can get to the back. We are going bowfishing tonight.

UPDATE at 0124 Friday night: picking up adult kids up from night bowfishing, no wind at all. They found clear water in the back and did well on reds, sheepshead, and a few unsuspecting gar. Noticed about 20 night-fishing from pier by bridge side on the way here. Should be a good weekend on GI.
