I'm scared to buy it. I played the game when it came out and beat it but I feel like I'd be complete arse now and it's going to be very tough.
Also even though I beat the game I feel like there's a lot I didn't explore so what's the point of buying DLC? Is there a new end game boss?

Preordered this last year. I don't remember how to do anything in the game, but I feel that way every time they put out a new game so it's not a problem.
I've avoided reading anything about it other than that it's big.

lol scared isnt the word i would use but i think i know what you mean. i have completely forgotten almost every mechanic at this point. 2.5 years is a helluva lot cobwebs to dust off.
waiting to see if its worth it to try and pick it back up.

yep, I think it definitely will be. At the very least, the non-spoiler reviews i've seen are indicating that it's the best DLC that FS has ever put out and the expansion is massive. Most importantly, you are getting access to a bunch of new gear and items and spells that can then be used on subsequent playthroughs (NG+ and beyond) which adds to the replayability in a big way. They are talking about brand new character builds that can get created.
Obviously, you can't create a brand new character and have immediate access.

For some reason it's not letting me pre download it on Xbox. When I click on it , nothing happens and when I switch over to New Zealand location, it's not even showing Shadow of the Erdtree when I search for it. .

I’m on my 3rd play through. And im average at best. The dlc is gonna be brutal
