If he were good, he would have stayed.

Auburn wouldn’t be a top 4 team in the SunBelt. Dutton will fit right in at Auburn and never be heard from again on that mediocre team

Well he started 15 games on the mound for LSU. What does that say about our program?

It says that the plan for Hurd to be a consistent reliable starter during the regular season didn’t pan out, and LSU was desperate and had to throw him out there. If you think Dutton is an SEC starting pitcher you’re insane. I would even say he’s not SEC caliber Relief Pitcher. He’s way to inconsistent too many walks.

He started 11 games as a freshman when Hurd wasn’t even on the roster.

Way to pay attention. He had 6 walks in the season. His problem wasn’t walks. He only had 25 walks over three seasons. That’s including starting 11 games in his freshman season.

Well it’s not me you have to convince. It’s a head coach and two pitching coaches. One of which is now a head coach.

Two different SEC programs have disagreed with you so far.

Looks like he'll get to play his senior season much closer to his family's hometown being a bama boy.

Best of luck on the plains against everyone except LSU Sammy!

You’re make an argument for a guy with a 6.02 era with a 1.57 WHIP. What has this program come to that we accept a 6.02 era over 3 seasons. Just accept that fact he’s just not a good pitcher.

And some of yall need to accept that some players just aren’t LSU material, even if they are on the team. Him leaving the team doesn’t hurt the roster

Yeah I’ve seen enough from Dutton to know he isn’t that good.

Just accept the fact that you didn’t really know anything about him and he’s now been allowed to play for two teams that also happen to both be in the best conference for college baseball.

6.02

His ERA was in the 3’s until the last couple of weeks. He pitched better than most people on the team. He was in the top half of guys that we used without question. I don’t make judgements based solely off of a poor ending the last couple of games.
