Is Frontier the best airline?

I know their prices don’t look so great once you start adding bags and what not but hear me out. My old lady booked us a Frontier flight as a joke more than anything and I actually had a great experience.
$80 for a carry on: You can actually get on and off the plane without waiting on everybody fighting their way through the bins and taking a minute each to lower their damn bags.
Charge for water, soda, beer: you can actually get one whenever you want because they’re not busy handing out freebies. Path to restroom is mostly clear also.
Charge for first checked bag: yours is one of the first and only off the belt.

Your old lady books flights as jokes? What does that even mean?

We needed the flight, she just booked frontier as a joke and for the experience. Turned out to actually be a great experience. Not what we expected.

No way. This isn’t tRant. I wouldn’t even know how to troll you guys. I had like one reply in this board’s history.
It’s just an obscure take with an admittedly over dramatized headline.
I think these Frontier guys are onto something.

I’ve definitely had much better experiences flying Allegiant than just about anyone else. Almost never delayed. The bargain airlines have their pros and cons.

People complain about Spirit but Ive never had a bad experience with them. Maybe i'm just lucky.
I have had very bad experiences with American and United.

They are stricter on measuring personal bags than any other low cost carrier.
I liked Sun Country. Cheap like spirit but normal seats. Free soft drinks and coffee. Free internet.

I don't really fly, so I'm curious. Are all of the incredulous replies based on safety concerns, or just because it is like flying on a city bus? If I'm in the air for a couple of hours, I really don't give a shite about comfort, as long as safety is properly addressed.

It’s the worst, actually
And yes, I’m including Spirit

I actually prefer spirit, jet blue, or frontier to the others. I travel very light so I have no issues with the carry on size requirements and all the flights are direct flights. And I always buy a soda in a bottle ahead of the flight regardless so I have my drink. I keep cell phone charged so no need for in flight charging
