Murder Mystery/Courtroom drama.

Pretty good first two episodes. I’m in.

Watching the 2nd episode now. It’s good. I personally love how Apple produces their shows.

Presumed Innocent is Turow's one great novel. Couldn't put it down.

That dude does nothing more than portray in crappy remakes. Roadhouse, and now this.

Not bad is not great. Presumed Innocent was a great novel. One L is really more a biographical memoir than a novel anyway so yeah, PI was Turow's crowning achievement, his only great novel.

Definitely the most polished self-made shows compared to other streaming services, imo.

This- the production value of everything they do is so good

I love when a new show comes out that I am interested in, and even more stoked when I find out its on Apple

Not liking it so far. Pakula version much better IMO. Rusty is protrayed as an emotional baby and no Sandy Stern. I’m out.

Do you not remember their meeting in her office in the movie? He was a cuck.

Dammit it feels like half the stuff I want to watch nowadays is on a service I don't get. Presumed Innocent is a top 5 book for me, absolutely love it. I'm curious if this series can live up to the book

So far, the series is very different. The book spent a fair bit of time looking at the nature of justice and trials. The Apple show (so far) seems to be much more focused on Rusty’s psychology and his turmoil. This is done with tons of flash backs, counseling sessions, etc. It’s very moody and evocative. Not procedural. There’s less Kindle Country politics, to the detriment of the series IMO. Finally, and most importantly, Ray Horgan defends Rusty instead of Sandy Stern. Sandy Stern is the most interesting character in Turow’s canon and he’s not in here. The cast is fine and production values are fine. I much prefer the Pakula movie.

Started watching the series but wasn't sure if I would stick with it because I already know the "story"... why watch an updated re-hash? But there are some key differences from the original source material (no Sandy, condition of the victim, etc.).

Is it possible that the series will have a different ending?? On one level that would keep it interesting. But a change like that would almost make it a completely different work.
