Needs to find a new level of competition. Maybe Southeastern, Nicholls, Troy etc etc.

Not a big loss. He couldn’t get an out against UNC.

I’m not saying it’s a big loss talent wise, but these losses are starting to pile up from a pure number of pitchers on the roster standpoint. Like we we are going to have to bring in a shite ton of pitchers this offseason

Dutton might have been one of the most ineffective relievers that's come across this program.

Good luck to the young man!

Hopefully we fill that spot with someone a bit more effective.

He will be successful for a team if he can take a step down in conference. He would be great for Southeastern or almost any smaller school in the area.

Shores, Noot, and Seo coming off injury.

Ware from JUCO.

Dorsey from the portal.

Of the incoming freshmen to feel safe about getting here: Gonzales, Evans.

Potential other freshman adds if the draft cooperates: Bateman, Rizy.

That's 8 that didn't pitch for LSU this year (except for Noot's 1 inning) that could pitch next year. From an innings standpoint, Dorsey is a 1 for 1 replacement of Dutton. All the others we lost combined for less than 40 innings. Take Shores out of the equation and the remaining 6 could cover those 40 innings.

ETA: We probably add at least 2-3 more portal arms though if I had to guess. The big innings we'll have to cover are leaving to the draft. Even more so if we can't hold on to Herring.

Yeah, I figured we would be able to add guys to eat up Dutton and Moffett innings. I would assume that between Shores, Noot, Anderson, Herring, and a transfer, we'll be able to find 2 that can replace Holman and Jump's innings.

Side note: Does anyone have any information on Kade Woods? I'm assuming injury, but I feel like there has been no info and I saw that he is assigned to a summer league team.

Are Shores and Noot expected to be 100% by '25? Could one/both be a weekend starter?

Noot had surgery early in the season in 2023. I bet he could have pitched this year but we didn’t have much wiggle room to allow him to work things out.

He’ll be 100%
