Are we actually going to go into a home soil World Cup with this bald count in charge?

Yes.

And there are some here that think it is a good idea.

Getting waxed in these two lead up matches and embarassing ourselves in the tournament are the only possible means to get him canned

With Brazil next up, we are at least off to a good start

It sucks to waste this tournament but this is our only chance

The USSF fired him, dicked around for 3 months, then rehired him. Not in my lifetime has a sports, or even professional organization done that.

Clowns, the whole lot of them.

This. Along with the over the top pride bullshite, led me to cancel my membership. Sent them long email of grievances. No response. Didn’t expect one.

Alleva would have run a more competent search.

I know anything can happen but with Panama and Bolivia is there any realistic chance of not getting out of the group?

I wouldn’t pick them to but shitting the bed first match against Bolivia after 2 trouncings is more likely than losing to Panama

They’ll get roasted by Colombia or Brazil in the quarters regardless

Honestly don’t think even getting shutout and losing every game by a lot will change anything.

Sad

This. Haven’t followed any of our boys or anything related to USMNT since they rehired him. Just an absolute corrupt joke of an organization that can’t get out of its own way despite the best talent we’ve ever had

The USMNT are now 5-7-6 (WDL) under Gregg Berhalter against teams ranked in the top 20 of FIFA’s World Rankings.

Four of those wins are against Mexico.

The USMNT’s only win under Berhalter against a top 20 team excluding Mexico is Iran, a 7.1% win percentage in those matches.

Pathetic.

Let’s not forget Gregg said he was being blackmailed and certain posters on this board were SURE that Gio Reyna’s parents were going to prison

Dude I am one of the longest standing members of the get rid of Gregg Club. The facts are the facts. He wasn't fired as USMNT coach his contract expired after the World Cup.

Semantics. It’s like when a person is asked to resign. He resigns, but he was really fired. They told Gregg they aren’t hiring him again. It’s nitpicking to say that “well, technically he was not fired.”
