I know Oklahoma is coming to the SEC but it doesn’t change the fact that Oklahoma has been the most dominant Softball program over the past 4 years and she has won 7 national championships total. It’s likely they will dominate the SEC like they have the Big 12. Her players just look to be on a different level.

She is signed with Oklahoma through 2028. Her base salary is around 300k from the university and with private funding, her annual salary comes to 1.6million.

What do you think it would take to lure her away to LSU?

Its not happening

The Mulkey hire has spoiled some here. KM at least has MAJOR Louisiana connections with family near by LSU (her mom, etc) and she faced major strain with the Baylor AD which made this entire move possible

She’ll get a raise to 2m, they just built her the best stadium in the country, and she has 6 of the top 10 recruits coming to campus this summer.

She ain’t leaving.

OU boosters are coming up with $1.3M in private funding for the softball coach’s salary?!

I’d rather cut softball and use that money on football recruits

Dang! That is ridiculous. When is Torina getting fired? We might just drop from middle of the conference pack to the bottom third next year if she’s still coaching. Woodward needs to do some hard work to find that next up and comer or diamond in the rough who can compete at the top level. Or is there someone out there at a power program who could be that person, just doesn’t have the resources? Don’t know what the answer is but Torina is not it.

Support for softball, especially LSU, has grown over the years. With the notoriety the LSU baseball team has, I feel like we should try to strive for the same results in softball. Softball needs to create the same lure that baseball has.

Build a time machine and go back to win a bunch of titles in the 90s. Except LSU didn't have softball for most of that decade so your work will be cut out for you.

To each his own. After spending the early Spring mornings turkey hunting on softball game days, I'll watch softball with MrsSpeck - No Pics - and score beau coup favors.

We could use the 2 million to give Brian Kelly a raise so Alabama doesn't steal him!

Where else would she go? She is at the apex of college softball. She is probably at the only place on the planet that will give her 1.6 million to coach softball. There are no pro leagues and there are no other jobs. Her next step would be leaving coaching because she is tired of it.

This is his best bet. Find a really solid young coach who can build the program.

The women's softball program at University of Oklahoma made $1,586,470 in revenue and spend $5,275,218 in expenses.
