Reel mower for Bermuda lawn

I think it’s time I move on from my Honda rotary mower to a reel mower for my lawn. Any suggestions that won’t put a hurting on the checkbook?

I bought a like new Cali Trimmer high cut for $800 a few months ago. New is about double.

if you're mechanically inclined, look into one of these reel mower electrical conversion kits. reelmowermods.com is one outfit, i think there are a few more. They sell full and partial kits to convert a manual reel mower to battery powered. You can buy adapters to whatever cordless ecosystem you live in (dewalt, ego, ryobi, etc.)
they seem pretty bad arse.

Sorry but i can never part ways with my Honda. Other than having to tighten up the self propel cables, normal oil changes and blade replacement, it’s never given me any problems in 6 years. It just doesn’t give you the flawless cut a reel does on Bermuda not to mention i want my grass at 1/2 inch height and you can’t get that with a rotary

Which one do you have? I'm wondering if it's the same one I have that I'm dumping for a Honda HRX217.

How much are you looking to spend?

I’ll probably start with an Earthwise manual next year and that’ll be all I ever get until maybe retirement.
$129.99

It's a brushless push behind 20"
The holes that attached the arms to the mower are stripped out. I have to stop and tighten the screws multiple times per mow. Have to replace the screws that rattle out frequently. Pretty big design flaw IMO. I'm not manhandling it on turns or anything. Only 3 years old.
Probably should cut ties and get something else, but don't feel like spending. Should've just went EGO from the start.

keep the ryobi batteries and put a conversion kit on a reel mower. the batteries are the most expensive part.

How big of a lawn? I use an 18 inch earthwise 7 blade mower on roughly 7k square feet. It cuts perfect.

I see a fair amount of bermuda in older neighborhoods like this, and no one has the least idea of how to maintain it.
It's usually 4" tall and bumpy so I'm glad at least one person knows what they're doing.
What's your lawn program look like?
