I don’t recall seeing him.

Is he going to be on the postseason roster?

no he didn't pitch, highly inaccurate throwing strikes. Great potential though, just needs to work on getting the ball over the plate

No he didn’t pitch.

At this point, I doubt he’s on the roster.

I hope he can figure it out. I can’t recall such a highly discussed recruit who wasn’t close to the strike zone his first year.

needs as much mound time as he can get this summer

roster for regionals has to be submitted by Thursday

Little status is to be determined, if he can't go they will have to carry another pitcher so maybe Johnson takes his spot

I saw him with team at the facility when they showed the team on ESPN during bracket announcement. Possibly just going to not be on post season travel roster but still with team. Might go pitch early in one league.

He was highly ranked because he has freakish potential. He’s just very raw, JJ did him a favor by not ruining his confidence. He’s got a huge walk issue, he will be an asset next year after a full offseason

I remember when Jay called him a "strike thrower" before the season. And while the temptation might be to pick on him for saying that, he actually threw strikes in the scrimmages in the fall and then for the most part in the "spring" practices. Seems like he developed a little bit of the yips at some point.

Pulling for him to put it behind him.

nah

Somebody opined that they think they've begun breaking down his mechanics and working on rebuilding them. I tend to agree with this. All of his issues go away once his motion is repeatable. The fastball is plus and will get better. The slider is plus and is already a swing and miss pitch.

He's a guy that still has the huge upside he came in with.

lsu just got to a point in the season where they couldn't afford to lose games and he wasn't reliable enough to continue to run him out there when you had to win games just to make ncaa

For people who watched all of his innings, where did his fastball sit? Last outing I seen he was consistently running around 92 then ran a few into the mid 90’s. Is he throwing a cutter at 92 or is he just trying to take some off to get it over the plate?.

Early in the year I got downvoted into oblivion for posting not to expect accuracy from Cam, because throwing that velocity from the left side with as much movement as he has, he would have never made it to a college roster if didn’t have control problems. And here we are.

Maybe they can fix him over the summer.

I bet he plays summer ball in BR thisnyear and comes back with a much tighter delivery a la Aiden Moffett

he’s closer than an offer was last year and if he makes a similar leap he will be hard to handle.

Aiden Moffett pitched in La Crosse, Wisconsin last summer.

Both Moffett and Johnson are scheduled to pitch in the Cape Cod League this summer.

At this point, the roster probably won't change. Almost anyone not on the roster for the SEC tournament is probably already playing on their summer team.
