Classic case of don't be an a-hole when you control a huge segment of a particular industry.

To be fair to TMLN, they are right that Bots buying all the tickets and inflating the value is a serious problem as well, but to not be fair to TMLN, they haven't exactly gone out of their way to help solve that problem.

I tend to be of the mindset of "if it's more than you want to spend then don't go". No one is forcing you to buy those tickets and pay those fees.

This is the classic case of FAFO. All they had to do was put some controls in place to limit fees and price gouging.

I agree, I also believe that if you are passionate about the artist or music or live event or whatever, you shouldn't be charged 5 times the amount just for wanting to support something. frick all that

Face value of ticket $100, selling price $105, fees $50, paid price $165 because taxes and fees, seller gets $5. frick ticketmaster.

Good. There should be no more than a $5 convenience fee for tickets. I remember the days of just driving over to the venue to purchase tickets. Need to offer that option again.

It's beyond that level. It truly is a monopoly which is being abused.

If I want to go to New York City, I'm not forced to do business with Delta. There are other airlines, or I could drive or take a train.

If I want to see any nationally touring artist, I'm forced to deal with Ticketmaster.

It seems like we still haven't found the breaking point yet. You and your friend, apparently, still purchased the tickets. Shows and concerts are still selling out across the country. People have to eventually understand that they have all of the power in the equation. Stop buying tickets if you believe the prices (and fees) are outrageous. As long as you continue to buy, they'll continue to jack up the price. A lawsuit really shouldn't even be required.

Good they’ve made it impossible to buy tickets for literally anything without going through them. Hope they’re put out of business.

Who cares? This isn’t a necessity. This is a want. If you don’t want to pay, don’t pay. If the artists are hurt by this, they’ll stop using ticket master.

"If someone bought it, the price wasn't high enough."
