This should be interesting. Has TNT ever aired college football games before? Hopefully they’ll do a decent job.

I thought they did in the past. It was usually a shitty PAC 12 game from what I recall.

Not sure I’ve ever seen CFB on TNT

Might have something to do with the NFL taking an equity stake in ESPN and not wanting college games competing with the pro games.

Fox reportedly balked at the number the CFP committee was asking for. ESPN ended up gobbling up the whole thing and has gone the sub license route.

TBS has. I think LSU murdered an Arizona QB on TBS before.
And really, what's the difference between TNT and TBS?

they did some college football back in early 1990
I could of sworn, i watched a ga tech game on there, but it says, they had Indy bowl game one year

The 2003 Arizona game on TBS. That was a lot of fun.
TBS in the 80s also had a lot of college football.

One of the most dominant beat downs that I can remember seeing LSU deliver to an opponent.
2006 Arizona rivals it though lol. Poor Arizona

This is not insignificant

TNT Sports will present two first-round College Football Playoff games during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. In addition to the first-round games, TNT Sports will add two quarterfinal games each year –beginning with the 2026 season through the 2028 season.

The 11 or 11:30 a.m. SEC package used to be on TBS, long before it was on Jefferson Pilot. TBS/TNT for sports is pretty much the same thing because it's Turner.
SEC on TBS intro
See the NCAA men's basketball tournament when games are on TBS, TNT and TruTV.

Let Shaq and Barkley call the games.

I would be 100% on board with this. This would be golden entertainment.

Getting closer to running into some potential antitrust situations with their burgeoning monopoly if Fox can’t or won’t keep up.

TNT might keep Charles around after all.

Bring back the dinner and a movie concept for TNT and cut in for commercials during the games as the guy and that hot chick cooking with the “peas and cornbread “ theme music
Would rather watch that than the whopper whopper or what a pro wants commercials anyway
