Something needs to change in the nba with the palming and traveling.

The Celtics are easily the most overrated team in the NBA this season

They'll get destroyed by any team they play in the finals

They have a stacked team but they don’t have a superstar. Tatum and Brown are good but not great. Every time I watch Tatum he is just so clearly not in that tier of superstars like Giannis, Jokic, Luka, Embiid, etc. He’s a good player playing on an absolutely stacked team.

Tatum legit has forgotten how to shoot. I wonder if he stopped working on his game as hard this season.

Definitely Caitlyn Clark but I know that's not what you're talking about.

Seems to be a common occurrence in the NBA now. Most PGs do it. Also, Why does Haliburton get away with a travel on most 3 point attempts. He routinely picks up the ball and takes two steps to the side before shooting.

It’s hard for me to say Tatum isn’t great considering who you just listed above. Multiple players you’ve listed haven’t even been to a finals and Tatum has. And Tatum isn’t the only one on a stacked team. Tatum has games where it’s confusing on what the hell hes doing but the dude just dropped 36,12,4 on just under 50% from the field in the ECF game 1 to win it. Brown? I wouldn’t call him great but Tatum is. There’s just another level to him i believe he can reach.

The NBA allowing a lot of leeway on the gather/3rd step is a newer event and fair to critic.

But NBA players have always palmed the ball when dribbling. AI, Hardaway, Isiah, etc, all of them did it. And the worst offenders were the non-center ISO/post-up players of the 80s and 90s like Barkley and Mark Jackson. They would take one dribble while backing up 2 or 3 steps.

Not defending Tatum, but its not a new thing.

Patrick Ewing was the worst. Would take like 2 secs between dribbles backing down as he blatantly carried. Never called

And does anyone walk more than LeBron? In fairness if refs called it, the players would adjust.
