I looked at their season pitching stats and then looked at who pitched what games this weekend for Georgia vs Florida.

Out: # of pitches / Day / # of rest days
Kolten Smith - (110) Thursday - 4
Leighton Finley - (95) Friday - 3
Brian Zeldin - (91) Friday - 3
Zach Harris - (50) Saturday - 2

Bullpen guys who threw

Christian Mracna - (22) Thursday - 4
Matthew Hoskins - (30) Saturday - 2
Zach DeVito - (2) / (12) Friday/Saturday - 2
Josh Roberge - (19) Saturday - 2
Chandler Marsh - (13) Saturday - 2
DJ Radtke - (22) Saturday - 2
Brandt Pancer - (22) Saturday - 2

Zach DeVito -RHP 2.79 era 9.2 ip / 7 hits / 3 ER / 7 walks / 6 strikeouts

Charlie Goldstein - LHP 3.72 era / 36.1 ip / 35 hits / 15 ER / 13 walks / 43 strikeouts

DJ Radtke -RHP 4.26 era / 12.2 ip / 8 hits / 6 ER / 9 walks / 15 strikeouts

Jarvis Evans - LHP 5.00 era / 36.0 ip / 32 hits / 20 ER / 25 walks / 46 strikeouts

Christian Mracna - RHP 5.49 era / 39.1 ip / 40 hits / 24 ER / 23 walks / 63 strikeouts

Josh Roberge - RHP 6.89 era / 32.2 ip / 40 hits / 27 ER / 16 walks / 35 strikeouts

Who I expect them to start:

Christian Mracna - RHP 5.49 era / 39.1 ip / 40 hits / 24 ER / 23 walks / 63 strikeouts
( would be on a pitch count )
or

Charlie Goldstein - LHP 3.72 era / 36.1 ip / 35 hits / 15 ER / 13 walks / 43 strikeouts
(would likely be on pitch count coming off of injury)

Article from before Florida series.

Charlie Goldstein sounding doubtful
Weekend starter Charlie Goldstein had hoped to pitch in this weekend’s series against Florida, but after sweeping South Carolina, it appears Johnson will hold the senior lefty back until the SEC Tournament.

“Now we’re in a little different spot. I don’t know yet. I’m not going to continue to push him. If he doesn’t throw this weekend, then we’ll see him at some point in Hoover, I will say that.” Johnson said. “I’ll continue to evaluate but at this point I won’t rush him into a game that could put him on the shelf for a longer time.”

Maybe??

Jarvis Evans - LHP 5.00 era / 36.0 ip / 32 hits / 20 ER / 25 walks / 46 strikeouts

(hasn't pitched since 5/4 have not found any comment on if hes injured or not and he has 36 innings so he has pitched frequently before then.)

UGA’s pitching sucks. Their offense doesn’t suck. HOWEVER, their offensive stats take a huge drop in road games.

Winnable game.

I will be interested to see if we go Jump on a pitch count or some version of Herring/Little.

If they throw their weekend starter who's coming off injury I think it'll be tougher because he's a solid lefty. I wonder what his pitch count will be if he does pitch.

For us to feel really solid about a berth in postseason, Tuesday versus Georgia is a must win.

Georgia has nothing to gain by stretching pitchers for early to mid week games in Hoover. They did the work in the regular season and earned their spot.

Good news for us is the top half of the conference tourney bracket did the same thing. I don’t see many schools playing to win the conference tournament outside of LSU, Florida, Ole Miss, Vandy, and SC.

That’s because they don’t get to have the trackman feed in the dugout like they did at home.

It was UGA, not Arkansas, doing that.

Jump 3IP/ 45-50 PC

Herring/Little in relief.

Saint and Joe thanks for the kind words.

At the end of the day, I do all the research and stuff for my own interest in LSU Baseball and I just share the results I find for other people who are passionate about the sport of baseball and their favorite team. People who don't care about the information do not have to click on the post

You're greatly appreciated! That guy is probably just mad we won and got the sweep and now he can't melt so his whole weekend is ruined.

I wouldn't mind seeing one of these threads on the thoughts of who we'll start.

I was going to start a thread to simply ask and try and get some feedback, but I've been drinking so it's probably best I stick to shite posting the rest of the night.
