While I think that’s what should happen, the PD is in a bit of a pickle here. If they come out right away and drop the charges, the woke, white privilege crowd will go nuts. My guess is it’ll happen sometime late tonight or tomorrow.

Things don’t get resolved in real life as quickly as they do on TV. This will be resolved to everyone’s satisfaction in due time. Neither party wants this hanging around, trust me. It does neither of them any good.
