Props to the man for stating traditional family values.
The morons on the front page who just have to say something negative.
“OMG why mention IVF blah blah blah”. Does no one know that transvestites are having babies left and right using IVF. Pedos are having surrogate mothers make them a baby and the kid is trapped in a private home with pedo parents.
Know what you’re cheerleading for before you post.

Transvestites also use adoption a lot. I guess you hate when poor children are adopted too?

Oh geez. Sorry I didn’t specifically list every single time that IVF can be positive. Fcking internet man. You simply can’t say anything without a Karen chiming in.
Ok douche here is a list:
Adoption good
Loving home good
Infertility in married couple
Everything else all rational humans agree with is good.
Now back to you cheerleading for pedos because every example wasn't specified by me.

I'm going to regret engaging you on this, but I feel like you're talking out of your arse.

59. In this sense, respect for both one’s own body and that of others is crucial in light of the proliferation of claims to new rights advanced by gender theory. This ideology “envisages a society without sexual differences, thereby eliminating the anthropological basis of the family.”[103] It thus becomes unacceptable that “some ideologies of this sort, which seek to respond to what are at times understandable aspirations, manage to assert themselves as absolute and unquestionable, even dictating how children should be raised. It needs to be emphasized that ‘biological sex and the socio-cultural role of sex (gender) can be distinguished but not separated.’”[104] Therefore, all attempts to obscure reference to the ineliminable sexual difference between man and woman are to be rejected: “We cannot separate the masculine and the feminine from God’s work of creation, which is prior to all our decisions and experiences, and where biological elements exist which are impossible to ignore.”[105] Only by acknowledging and accepting this difference in reciprocity can each person fully discover themselves, their dignity, and their identity.
Sex Change
60. The dignity of the body cannot be considered inferior to that of the person as such. The Catechism of the Catholic Church expressly invites us to recognize that “the human body shares in the dignity of ‘the image of God.’”[106] Such a truth deserves to be remembered, especially when it comes to sex change, for humans are inseparably composed of both body and soul. In this, the body serves as the living context in which the interiority of the soul unfolds and manifests itself, as it does also through the network of human relationships. Constituting the person’s being, the soul and the body both participate in the dignity that characterizes every human.[107] Moreover, the body participates in that dignity as it is endowed with personal meanings, particularly in its sexed condition.[108] It is in the body that each person recognizes himself or herself as generated by others, and it is through their bodies that men and women can establish a loving relationship capable of generating other persons. Teaching about the need to respect the natural order of the human person, Pope Francis affirmed that “creation is prior to us and must be received as a gift. At the same time, we are called to protect our humanity, and this means, in the first place, accepting it and respecting it as it was created.”[109] It follows that any sex-change intervention, as a rule, risks threatening the unique dignity the person has received from the moment of conception. This is not to exclude the possibility that a person with genital abnormalities that are already evident at birth or that develop later may choose to receive the assistance of healthcare professionals to resolve these abnormalities. However, in this case, such a medical procedure would not constitute a sex change in the sense intended here.

The Vatican has announced sweeping new policies welcoming transgender people in the church’s sacramental life, further reflecting Pope Francis’ pastoral focus on LGBTQ people.
In October, Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández signed a statement, with the approval of Pope Francis, affirming that transgender people can be baptized, become official godparents, and act as a witness for weddings in the Catholic faith.

So an official declaration put out last month is trumped by something you claimed happened last year? Ok pride, Ok.

So you are trying to dunk in me by saying I am correct?
Posted on 5/17/24 at 9:59 am to lsupride87
All that time for you to come back with that?
No you're not correct at least as of April 8th. Perhaps you have some other document, but I'm guessing not. Just like several others in this thread claiming to know church teachings and getting it entirely wrong. I also love you you just quietly pivoted away from IVF over the last couple pages when you realized that was a losing argument for you and moved on to trannies. What will be your next pivot?

I think you keep up with thr church, but haven't you noticed the pattern of Francis' papacy?
1. Francis says something that can be interpreted many ways. He's way to loose with his language for modern times.
2. Progressive outlets run with the most extremist and modern take on what he said, usually mistranslating in the process.
3. Vatican comes back and releases a much clearer statement usually reinforcing traditional catholic beliefs.
Happens almost every time Francis says something.

I did not have Whoopi Goldberg being Team Butker on my bingo card.
quote:LINK
Goldberg, addressing her co-hosts and the audience, emphasized the importance of respecting differing opinions. "Listen, I like when people say what they need to say. He's at a Catholic college, he's a staunch Catholic, these are his beliefs, and he's welcome to them," she stated.
The actress and host then clarified that while people do not have to believe or accept Butker's views, they should respect his right to express them. "We wanna give respect to people whose ideas are different from ours," Goldberg explained.
Drawing a parallel to Colin Kaepernick's protest during the national anthem in 2016, the 68-year-old highlighted the need for mutual respect. "I'm OK with him saying whatever he says, and the women who were sitting there, if they take his advice, good for them, they'll be happy. If they don't, good for them, they'll be happy in a different way. That's my attitude," she commented, receiving some applause from the audience.

Shockingly rational take that she doesn't apply to a lot of her usual belly aching. Wonder what's different in this situation.

You’re just spewing lies now. Please cite the official Church teaching of which you speak, dogma, encyclical, catechism, etc. tia
The Pope makes many statements, not all of them are “official”.
Question:
What does the term ex cathedra mean, and where did the Catholic Church come up with it?
Answer:
Ex cathedra is a Latin phrase which means “from the chair.” It refers to binding and infallible papal teachings which are promulgated by the pope when he officially teaches in his capacity of the universal shepherd of the Church a doctrine on a matter of faith or morals and addresses it to the entire world. The concept derives from Jesus.
In Matthew 23: 2-3 Jesus spoke of the authority of the Old Testament magisterium saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees have taken their seat on the chair [Gk. cathedras] of Moses. Therefore, do and observe whatsoever they tell you, but do not follow their example. For they preach what they do not practice.” Since Jesus recognized the authority of the Old Testament magisterium when it spoke ex cathedra (with the authority of Moses), we recognize that the New Testament magisterium of the Church, which speaks with the authority not of Moses but of Jesus Christ himself (Mt 10:40, 16:18-19, 18:18; Lk 10:16; 2 Cor 5:18-20), possesses a binding, infallible teaching office which is guaranteed by Christ (Mt 28:20; Jn 14:16, 26, 16:13).
